Writing back home, 6th Arr. I’m traveling again with my company, and I always take the time to write back home. I know that I can send an email or a text, but there’s nothing like receiving a card from the one you love, right? Or did you forget what true love is….

Sometime ago, I quietly left a job that I had pretty good success at — it paid the bills and more. And during that time, I was juggling two careers at the same time while my agent would give me a mouthful — But, being that I was young, I knew that I would have the opportunity to leave that job and continue with what I was meant to do.

I felt as if I earned my spot and nothing was given to me, and I’m happy that my company and the people that have helped me in the Arts pushed me seven days a week —
I’m grateful for all the hard work and discipline they taught me, too. But the one person who I owe my everything to is my husband. He’s not only my best friend; he is my cupcake partner; he’s my only love, Mon Amour, Merci !!

Note: To those trying to achieve something in life; nothing comes easy and don’t fall for those fake inspirational traps by being brave of thanking people. Sometimes putting in all the hard work is not enough — but the people around you will know that it wasn’t you who chose your career, your career chose you — it was something that always was, always… Either you got it, or you don’t; and if you fail at it — that was your fault or maybe you weren’t good enough to accomplish that goal and you’ll just have to move on to something else instead of living a false goal. As KC would say, “Don’t FAIL!”

“If you could read my mind love, what a tale my thoughts could tell.”

–Gordon Lightfoot

I remember when KC and I were at a café not far from the Opéra House, and we heard Gordon Lightfoot – If You Could Read My Mind playing in the background. KC started to hum the song as he leaned back in his chair. Then, I started to hum the song and before I knew it, the small crowd of couples around us started to hum the song, too.

I remember when KC stood up and said to everyone, ‘Love isn’t that difficult it, is it?’ as I held KC’s hand; a man who is never shy to say hi or open his mouth while being quite approachable though he keeps his distance…

When KC sat back in his seat, I reached for my pink handkerchief and dried my tears. KC always seems to say the right things no matter where we are or what time of day it is, or when he is away on his business trips.

Annotation: I remember when I asked KC why do you love this song so much and does it remind you of someone? He simply whispered, “……” That means that secret is between KC and me, and it doesn’t have to do with a women. It’s more metaphorically speaking; something that no one would understand except for me and our inner circle and I believe that Renée knew, too — but she never mentioned it to me.

So, as I type this part. I’m in New York, and our inner circle in Paris is waiting for me to come back home. But knowing KC, he’ll fly out and pick me up. Merci, Mon Amour !! But while I’m away, our two little ones are so cute on Skype. I love it when they call me Maman and Papa for their Father while KC falls back off his chair LOL!

Annotation: Even when I’m away, KC always sends me one pink rose and a box of French macarons. I love chocolat with chocolat ganache, strawberry cheesecake, OMG salted caramel praline, chocolat hazelnut… I think I’m going to cry. I must return back home to Paris immediately!
